Susan Henry

Voice and Communication Skills Consultant

Susan qualified in Voice Studies in 1993 and has gone on to work extensively as a leading voice coach since. She also has a certificate in drama therapy, is a qualified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner and has had a regular mindfulness practise since 2004. The last 26 years have seen Susan develop a technique which combines the above skills to help her clients release their vocal power and range and utilise their influencing skills whenever they speak in public. She is known for her inspirational, relaxed yet thorough approach and for getting results.

Susan’s clients encompass professional speakers from the political arena, the business and public sectors and the worlds of film and theatre. Companies Susan has worked for include: Reuters, the BBC, London Business School, British Airways, Thomas Cook, The Kings Fund, Lloyds, Hiscox, Google, PRS, Oxford University, Imperial College and HM Treasury. Susan has also trained both professional actors and up and coming actors at the top London Drama Schools and held the role of Head of Voice at East 15 Acting School overseeing both the BA and MA courses

Susan is trilingual in English, Italian and French and prior to discovering her niche as a communications consultant trained as a singer and actress and performed professionally for many years. Some of Susan’s ideas about voice production can be read in the book “Effective Presentation” published by Orion and in her spare time she can still be heard stretching her own vocal cords singing jazz at events and venues around London.
